Peter Dart has been Chair of the Royal Choral Society for almost a decade. Alongside this, he has served as Chair or Trustee of several distinguished music organisations, including ten years on the Council of the Royal College of Music, fifteen years as a Trustee of the Voces8 Foundation, and a continuing role on the International Advisory Board of the Academy of St Martin in the Fields. Closer to home, he directs the music at his parish church in Wargrave.

Peter is a Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Music and an Associate of Trinity College London, and was Organ Scholar at Hertford College, Oxford, while reading Physics.

Professionally, Peter has had a distinguished career in marketing and communications. He is currently CEO of Dartahead Ltd, the consultancy he founded to help business grow. He previously held senior roles at WPP, where he worked with global clients including Unilever, and earlier was Chairman of Added Value, the marketing agency he co-founded, now part of Kantar. His career began at Unilever, where he was Marketing Director across Asia and Europe. Music and marketing have gone hand in hand throughout his life.

Peter lives in Wargrave with his wife Annette. They have three grown-up children, all working in London and all – happily - passionate about music and the arts, too.
