Open Rehearsals

A couple of times a year (in the spring and autumn) the Royal Choral Society holds Open Rehearsals where prospective new members are invited along to sing with the choir, and to see how the RCS works ‘from the inside’. This allows singers to get a real feel for who we are and what we do. In the spring, we would usually rehearse Messiah for our Good Friday concert, and in the autumn we rehearse Carmina Burana for our Royal Albert Hall concert. Music will be supplied and the rehearsal ends earlier than usual so we have the opportunity to answer any questions over some refreshments.

If you then feel that you would like to join the choir, arrangements will be made for your audition.

Our next Open Rehearsal will be in October (date to be confirmed) when we will be rehearsing Orff's Carmina Burana. Please email openreh@royalchoralsociety.co.uk to book a place, giving your full name, voice part and indicating whether you need to borrow a copy of the relevant score.

We rehearse at the City of London School for Girls, Main Hall. go to www.clsg.org.uk and click on Location for details on how to get there.
