THE musical highlight of the festive season - a special selection of traditional carols and a few surprises too!

The 150-strong Royal Choral Society choir has sung at the Royal Albert Hall every Christmas for over a hundred years. This December, the choir returns to its spiritual home with a festive programme packed full of glorious carols old and new Ė including traditional singalong favourites for the audience to join in with.

The choir will be accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, baritone Ben Bevan and the Band of the Irish Guards under the baton of Royal Choral Society Music Director Richard Cooke. Acclaimed actor Juliet Stevenson will perform suitably festive readings, adding a classy Christmassy sparkle to the proceedings.

This unmissable gala concert includes seasonal standards Silent Night, The Twelve Days of Christmas and O Come all Ye Faithful, as well as modern classics O Holy Night (regularly voted the UKís best-loved carol) and Vaughan Williamsí Fantasia on Christmas Carols. Itís the perfect way to get into the festive spirit!
